A **true** Conversation Between PiePie and Honey...

Honey: So, I got invited to go to a party this weekend, and to Florida in June....
PiePie: Well, do you want to go to the party this weekend or to Florida in June?
Honey: Nope. If I did, I'd have just said, PiePie, I'm going to a party this weekend, and to Florida in June.
PiePie: And that's when I would tell you to take the rest of your stuff with you, too...
Honey: I feel so disposable. *Eyes rolled up in head.*
PiePie: You feel what???
Honey: Disposable.
PiePie: Do you know how many women I've sat my foot down in a mudhole for so they can step across it in my lifetime?
Honey: Nooo????? *Tiny Voice*
PiePie: One.
Honey: Soooo....since I've crossed a mudhole and come back over it and stepped on your foot as a bridge twice tonight, that's twice in one hour....you must love me and I'm not disposable after all?
PiePie: Yeah, something like that.
Honey: ***swoon***

This photo reminds me of the Man From Snowy River movie for some reason. This was on our way to the pond.....And after we were chased by a mad rush of cows.... And here's "the big one"......

And these remind me of the Anne of Green Gables movies.....

PiePie and Honey Go Fishing....

Once upon a time, Misser PiePie asked Honey if she wanted to go fishing....and Honey said yes, please. And so they trecked through the woods and went fishing. (Duh.) But....when they got there, PiePie asked Honey if she wanted to fish, and Honey said, "Nooooo....I'd hate to show you up, PiePie," so she didn't fish....for about 5 minutes. Then, she was thinking he was having WAYYYY too much fun for her not to join him, so she got the pole, and he gave her this stellar advice: "You have to reel that one...." So, she cast the line a few times, and lo and behold, she REELED in the BIGGEST fish of the evening.....
and he was secretly impressed....cuz deep down, he reeeallllly wasn't sure if she knew what she was doing with the pole and his cherished lure from when he was a child....many many years ago. She was nervous, using his special lure, but she saw why he liked it so much after she reeled in bassy-wassy numero dos. However, it would only be fair to PiePie if Honey mentioned that while she scored two fishes with his prized lure, he was able to catch three. So, now the debate is if size or quantity is more important. I suppose if you got the biggest one, it would be size, but if you got the most, it would be quantity....right?
At any rate, Honey and PiePie had a super evening together, fishing and talking, and being chased by cows, and then talking some more, all the while tramping through the weeds, thorns, and fences with huge grins on their faces the whole time.
And they lived happily ever after.......

Flutter by, Butterfly.....

I started working on this beauty probably back in November or some such ridiculously far-away month. I do not know how many hours of "Deal or No Deal" this thing has seen, or how many hours, otherwise, it has seen, but let me assure you, as Kate used to say, there have been,"some plenty of it," hours spent on it. I'm really pleased with the end result, thought, and have already started working on the next one. It's a rose, probably 5 times the stitching, and it will be wondermous if ever I get it done...maybe Christmas is a fairly reasonable goal? LOL. Tonight, I am starting on a baby blanket for a friend of ours who has been trying to have a baby for a very long time...so exciting to plan for little ones! I have one....two....three....four....five blankets to make for five babies that we are expecting in the next little bit....must get busy!

Life....

I got this card from my Grandma for my birthday. While my bday isn't until Thursday...***take note***...I cheated and opened it anyways. Here goes:

Life Legacies

*Thoughts for my Granddaughter on Her Birthday*

LIVE DEEP

Never stop learning, playing, or finding wonder in the world around you.
Live the length of your life, but live teh depth of it as well.

TRAVEL LIGHT

There is no use in carrying around worry and regret.

They only weigh you down.

Always keep yourself open to hope and to love.

They give us wings.

FORGIVE IMPERFECTIONS...

in yourself and others.

Imperfections keep things interesting.

They're the cracks where the light shines through.

OWN BEAUTIFUL THINGS...

and not just to keep in the drawer, tucked away for a perfect day.

Surround yourself with things that make you happy, that remind you of the beauty all around us if we only keep our eyes open to it.

MAKE MISTAKES

Follow detours.

Sometimes it takes an unexpected turn to help us find the life that is waiting for us around the bend.

Trust yourself and the path that is meant for you.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF...

and sometimes that means you need the ice cream.

Be good to your body, but also to your mind and spirit.

You're the only one who can.
Thanks, Grandma. I love you! :)

Happy Sunny Saturday

So far, on this fine specimen of a Sunny Saturday afternoon....I have created this:
This is a good thing, considering that it is for a birthday party next week for one of the grandbabies....but I'm thinking I should have been outside soaking up the rays while they are there....oops. There's still some daylight left...maybe I still can. I just got started and couldn't stop....you know. I want to finish the butterfly pillowcase I started back in...like...uh....November???....today, too....we'll see.

I'm also going to try to spend some time this evening listing some new things to my etsy shop...you can see the shop by clicking on the link below.....check back often as I will be adding new things all the time!
And....I also now have an ebay store I am working diligently to get loaded with vintage t's or t's with slogans, and words on them, primarily. Check it out...there are some nifty shirts there!
Since blogger won't let me copy and paste, you'll just have to go to ebay and do a search for seller id: 2*a*t to find them. :) PTA, I know, but the best I could do here. I still have about 200 shirts to list, so check back on those often, too.
Have a great Saturday evening...I'll be tap, tap, tapping away right here *working* whilst watching NASCAR....vrooom vroom!

Going to work.....

is lots of fun when you get to get up, go out in the yard barefoot, and work on fun things like painting flowers on benches. I'm really liking how this turned out, even though it ended up being nothing at all like what was in my brain to start with. :) The in-laws got this bench, and while it was sturdy and heavy, it was pretty darn ugly....until now. :) I wish you could see better from the photos, but try as I might, I couldn't really get a good pic, so you'll have to use your imagination, or come visit us so you can see it for yourself. And.....if you need YOUR bench painted, let me know and I'll come work on yours, too! Everyone needs a fun bench to sit on!

Allysa likes to accessorize.

"Alyssa" was made by my Kate when she was a freshman in her art class. I saved her because I thought she was so neat. I found her this week while I was going through things that I've saved over the years, and I decided that she needed to obe put in a frame. I'm reallllly pleased with the end result. I just need to find a home for her now.....hmmmm......

Daisy

Meet "Daisy". She is a 5-piece vintage planter....and she is oh-so-cool! I think since my first dog was a Dachshund...Daisy...I'm prejudiced to them! If anyone is interested in her, please holler...she'll be going up on my Etsy site tomorrow, if I'm lucky.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post...I have a couple of things up my sleeve I will be sharing.....
